Do Europeans Have Sovereignty?

Sovereignty is the establishment of a monopoly of control over the deployment of violence within a defined territory. There's an external component to sovereignty in the sense that to really exercise strong sovereignty is to be recognized by other sovereigns who are exercising sovereignty over their own discrete territories. Some states might exercise more economic sovereignty than others over their territories but I think there's maybe a third component to sovereignty we can talk about which is like a super-sovereign European Union.
