Comparative Analysis of Locke's Moral Theory
John Locke was a notoriously difficult thinker to pin down on many key issues, especially those related to moral law and natural rights rights. Catherine Wilson eloquently lays out some of these problems in an essay that frames the argument for this chapter. We're generally believe Locke just totally paid lip service to Christianity and really didn't believe in anything at all. And there are people who believe he was deeply deeply religious more so than his writings even indicate so. So this is why we read Locke still and will probably leave him 100 years later as well.
