The Remonstrance and the Covenant of Grace

The first thing sin confessed against the remonstrance was unconditional grace. That's a bedrock christian conviction. It's a bedrock augustinian conviction, we would say,. A bedrock biblical distinction and conviction. And it's a bedrock reformed conviction, a reformation conviction. The armenians were teaching that election is conditioned upon our performance or meeting certain conditions. One of them was foreseen faith.
