After reading your book, I think I much prefer status realism as a more encompassing concept. So what the state does? Of course, there's this theory, there are many theories in political science and these theories have actually become so commonplace that most people assume them. And so how does the state go about capturing the world in the way we know it? The first thing they have to do is they have to capture land.
