Is There a Connection Between Ethics and Metaphysics?
i've often been disappointed by the lack of connection between metaphysics and ethics, how they don't connect in any obvious way. But on the other hand, it's one of the glories of philosophy that it's not in a hurry to be useful. So i feel that these two aspects of philosophy are really quite separate. And perhaps that's probably a good thing, but i'm willing to have my mind changed during the course of this discussion. Joe and a rat, you were to want to put your point of view, please.
