Diversity of the Engineers
Diversity has been shown to be super effective and multiple pieces of work when you do know the task. The problem is more just as you go to much crazier environments, where we don't know what only small things to measure. In Excel, for example, I think we would have benefited from having some way to encourage diversity. And then the second thing is about generalization. If you've been exposed to diverse behaviors, or if you're a capable of diverse behaviors, then you're more likely to adapt at test time.
