I was the same as you in that I had a business when I started. Even when I started teaching, which has become my primary source of income now, it makes more money than my painting to do. If I had to live on how many paintings I actually get made in a year, I'd be starving. So I would work all day and I was feeling sort of like an imposter at work. It brings so much passion and joy to me that it doesn't feel like work.
