i think i agree with you, fundamentally. This book is not about trying to rewind or take us back to some sort of halcyon day where sex was good and everybody knew their sexual place. In fact, it is good that we have torn down a lot ramparts around sexuality,. But it's also possible, perhaps, that we have lost some norms that would help people organize their sexual lives. And i think what we want to do now is not try to go back to sort of a regime of sex, but actually think about how we can create norms in common norms that are corrigible.
