The Nicene Creed and the Trinity

Athanasius was an African church father who spent most of his life defending the Trinity and he was at the council of Nicaea. He wrote a creed to defend against the Aryan heresy which said that Jesus was not actually equal with God or A God but He was a created being of God. So this Creed is very similar to the Nicene Creed, also written by Athanasius. It says: "I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God"
