Agent Based Approach to Modeling Complexity

The main approach was to keep the entire system as simple as possible while still preserving the complexity. We want to model people opinion or people behavior, but still we do not want to implant a small brain into each agent because then it would be so complex that we won't be able to understand actually what each agent is doing. Instead, we want some very simple rules and then we want to be able to see which kind of simple rules actually generate very complex pattern. And this is called emergence.
