The if Then Model Doesn't Work
Most people live in what I call the if then model. It's not that you put the wrong thing on the if side of the model, it's that the model itself is broken. So when you recognize the model is broken, then you stop trying to make it work and then you start discovering a whole parallel universe which gives you so much joy.
