The DOJ lost on the motion to stay at the district. Court level has now moved the Fifth Circuit for an emergency stay. Walt Nauta was finally arraigned Thursday after two postponements, and he retained a lawyer named Sasha Dodden who appears to do your basic DUI, divorce, low-level drug stuff. Stan Woodward is being paid by Trump's Save America pack, which meant that Nauta had to hire local counsel after he was indicted there on June 8th. He made a bunch of strange arguments this morning suggesting that you know, normally it would be a big deal if both sides are just going to agree with each other.
