The Myth of the Rose Fire

C.S. Lewis thought that part of George McDonald's value was being a myth maker. He said most myths evolve over time and you can't really create an allegory for what this Homer mean. But he considered Kafka to be a kind of myth maker, but he also gives McDonald that high tribute. There is the odor of Christ in all authors from different denominations who are reading fairy tale or fantasy story. And yet they're coming out with something totally different.
