The Importance of Technology in Star Trek
I think I don't discount the possibility of technology, not by a long shot. It's because you could actually bend space time and travel through that. Wouldn't it be nice if we knew that we could address this sort of thing? If there were a mechanism by which we could guarantee that their space junk didn't fall all over Houston.
