Chung Yisao and the South China Seas
Chung Yisao was a Chinese pirate who made her name on the high seas. She is also known as Chung Shuh, Shea Yang or just Chang Yis wife. The Qing dynasty at that time had rude China since 1644 and was larger than present-day China. To finance it, the government raised taxes and import duties which hurt merchants in Guangdong.
