The Origins of the Beakers in Iberia
The beakers themselves, the characteristic artifact, seem to have appeared earliest in Iberia. From there, these ceramic vessels were adopted up and down the Atlantic coastline. They show up next at the mouth of the Rhine a bit later in southern Britain and Ireland. In the other direction, the characteristic beakers spread to the Mediterranean coast of Iberia and then east toward Italy.
