Is There a Work Requirement?

The work requirement is saying no that just has to be a chain doesn't matter what it is with this much work in total so somebody some alien arrives and creates a new blockchain that is just as long as the one we already have. then with assume work you can't fake work so referencing thatYeah so assume work is more abstract than assuming a certain block so you're not saying this this block must exist but that's scary because then that block might not even be the most proof of work chain, it might just be a very low proof of workChain.
