How Did You Wind Up in the Brill Building?
Howe and me went to school with bort schumann, who was a great writer for theforelvis and the drifters. We were trying to sell songs to hellen range music at 16 19 when we were turned down by older writers. They said where did you steal these songs? And it took me awhile to get the confidence to write my own lyrics. Howe greenfield is a marvellous lyricist. I know connie frances, donni frances, she had the numble one reckod, who's sorry now. It takes great talent to write a melody but it takes courage to write a lyric.
