Aerosols in the stratosphere can last for months and years, compared to the sphere, where they quickly rained out. And these two events, particularly the one in australia and some of these wild fires in california, were really notable. We saw that the area that was affected by the plumes, there was really a strong warming in the tratmosphere for about five months. No other volcano recent years had such an effect.
