The History of Non-Violence in India

In the Vedas, there seems to be evidence of people eating meat. Lord Buddha's last meal was a dish made of pork. I think Indians have always been in two camps. One camp is the vegetarian camp. We will not cause any unnecessary cruelty. And we will eat only plant-based food,. or maybe, maybe dairy also. There was always one camp most likely that the maybe the ones who were warriors, etc. They would need more protein. That's why they had a more thomasic diet. So don't hate me for this. This is just what I've seen. It doesn't mean that the world ancestors were the same way several thousand years ago.
