The air around them seemed to shimmer and bend, their shadows stretching into shapes that did not match the forms of the three lovely, gray clad women who stood on the walk below. Oh yes, we remember you quite well, cried the first of em, mock surprise blooming across her pretty face. It's been awhile, but look at you all grown up, continued the second, her vice dripping with the sugary pride of a maiden aunt who hadn't seen you since you was knee high to a grasshopper. But we'd know you anywhere, crowed the third, her eyes alight with the naked joy of a creditor who had its prey worn down and cornered. Sarah
