The Culture Industry Is Not Giving an Image of Difference

The culture industry is precisely not giving an image of difference or other nurses, isn't it? Adorno has this phrase, the dreams do not dream, the popular culture is precisely not an escapism. It's a pushing through of exactly the same values that exist in the sphere of work and everywhere else. This different avant-garde culture also embodied in Beckett even in its black, stumpy negativity at least proposes that things could be different from what we have, it could be other worlds.
