The idea of re conquering Grenada took hold quite late. Ferdinand, who was the king of Aragon hadn't really got a clear idea that he wanted to conquer Grenada I don't think. The Muslim forces were quite depleted in terms of their treasury because they were constantly paying huge amounts of tribute to Christian monarchs. So in a way they'd almost sort of funded the Christian army in a strange sense and Christian army had access to really good up to date artillery and even to cannon. In the end, it was a siege, which forced the surrender because the inhabitants of Grenada as in siege is usually deprived of any food and they were desperate so the Sultan had to call time and
