Is There a Bear Market?

In the last two bear markets, only 1% to 3% of stocks were trading above their 200-day moving average. That means almost all stocks were in a downtrend below their highs at the lows of those bear markets. So it's really difficult to pick winning stocks, stocks that actually go up in a bear market. And yes, I agree. This will not last forever. It's possible this could end as early as six months. We really don't know.
