Mr. James did a residency, a three night residency at the Blue Note in New York City with Tlaibh Kalee. Black Thought was there. Rakeem didn't use it at all. It was just those chords of the intro. Nevertheless, I loved the way he performed on stage with such confidence and charisma. And it made me proud, happy, and smiling that he had chosen my,. you know, as something to read a new piece out of it.
