The French developed a method that would be used effectively to wage a counter insurgency by a military apparatus. You understand these people culturally and psychologically, write in order to put out your narrative. Like, if you want to de radicalize a population, you have to know that population. But you could use it to radicalize the population. And that's what we faced, we face to day. We were trying to do rage and fear and anxiety, which is all the things john boyd talked about in terms of moral conflict.
