Perkin Warbeck's Story
Perkin Warbeck was born to a comptroller in Belgium. He learned Dutch when he was 10 and got a job with a cloth merchant in Antwerp. A Breton merchant brought him to Ireland at the age of 17, which is where he first came up with the idea that he would impersonate Richard of Shrewsbury. Perkin Warbeck became King Richard IV after his 6 year run as the missing prince was over.
