The writer in Blue was coming too fast, came in too hot and was therefore taking the wrong line that intersected with the Legion writers at right. If he was coming in faster, he would have made it. You can't, once you're going to pass somebody in a tight corner like that, you can't come in shoulder to shoulder or else that might happen.
