F fate has my favorite theater the mind style of combat which they use zones for their movement and their combat. zone concept is also one that robert schwaub has picked up for a shadow with a weird wizard. I like zone based combat more than i like abstract distance based combat because zones are really clear it's almost like imagining that instead of having a five foot square you have a 30 foot square. flippily gibbet says what recommendations do you have for rpgs that emphasize theater of the mind?
