The Three Lies of the Serpent

When we take suffering by itself, it nauseates us and it's bitter. But if we understand suffering like the rotten banana as an ingredient that's on a trajectory with all of the other ingredients that God has put in the story towards something sweet... It also includes heat in the oven. And I think one of the things that we don't understand in the contemporary West where we believe that our most fundamental and alienable right is the pursuit of our own happiness.
