The Angel Moroni and the Book of Mormon
The angel Moroni told Joseph of a sacred text written on some golden plates, which had been buried 1400 years earlier in his back garden. Can't take the book unless you marry a neighbour. And these magic glasses allowed Joseph Smith to read the strange hieroglyphics that were on these golden plates. He then dictated the entire Book of Mormon live out loud to his friend Martin.
