Moral Evil Is Much Worse Than Physical Evil

The catechism says God is in no way directly or indirectly the cause of moral evil. He permits it because he respects the freedom of his creatures, and also because he knows how to derive good from it. We have to journey to our ultimate destinies by our free choice and preferential love. Therefore, we can go astray that because God has created us free, we have the capacity to use to choose not love,. thus having moral evil entered the world.
