The Impact of Paternity and Certitude on Mating Strategies

Since we have the phenomenon of paternity and certainty, couldn't it be that that could lead to some sex differences in terms of how mating strategies change for men and women? Because I mean, for the woman, she is 100% sure that that kid is hers, but for the male, not really. And because there's a risk then that he could be invested in offspring that's not his. That means that ultimately he'd be increasing the reproductive success of somebody else rather than he's worn.
