Anover's Videographic Criticism

There were two romantic about videographic criticism in Anover, probably because it contrasted with the rest of academic production which tended to be far less glamorous. To them, audiovisual essays meant inventing explorative modes of deconstruction ofaudiovisual media objects. It was all about capturing aesthetic knowledge without the obligatory mediation of words. Although the form could no longer be considered as radically new in a age of perpetual media mutation and formal innovation, it remained a way of seeing formerly known media objects anew.
