GOP Leaders Set Expectations for Debt Ceiling Negotiations

President Joe Biden will meet with congressional leaders on Tuesday to discuss the debt ceiling. Democrats are still demanding a clean debt ceiling increase, but House Republicans have their own headache as we report in Playbook this morning. On Thursday at the US Mexico border, Title 42 is going to be expiring; that's the pandemic era policy that bars migrants from seeking asylum there. That same day, House Republicans are expected to take up and codify an immigration bill they've been trying to iron out for months.
