The Relationship Between Memory and Experience
The relationship is between a past experience as I experienced it and my memory of that past experience. There's the right causal relation between them. The chain is between the memory and the actual experience. Those are the two things that are linked. It's just how do you establish continuity of experience? How is a past experience for me continuous with an experience that I'm having now?
