The Parallels Between the Jews and the Puritans

I've always been fascinated with the fact the framers had an extraordinary sense of the parallels between themselves and Jews and Puritans before them. For the American founders in a secular, nationalistic way was constitution. And I personally believe there's no current problem that couldn't be answered well by going back to America's first principles. But will there be leaders? Will there be a vision of such an American return that would be a profound way forward? That, I don't know. No nation in history has ever had so many great men, all at the same time. They wrote a brilliant first chapter. Now can we do better than just hope?
