The Importance of Conversation in the Recruitment Process
The more conversational and natural and collegial you can be, I think, the better. Not all my interviewers were prepped with my life story or background or everything I submitted in my application. Our interviewers ranged from recent hires to years and years of experience. You only have so much time in an interview to finish your case and get through it. But if you can find a way to connect with your interviewer somehow, some way in that interview, and keep it conversational, it'll just work out in your favor.
