The Power of Dating Apps
There's no one story of dating apps, and that's what the data says. If you live in a rural area, the amount of serendipitous encounters that you have are very limited. The LGBTQ community use the apps more than more positive about the apps than anybody else. That's why Grindr was like the first major app to explode. It's because it's a smaller dating pool; there's also stigma that LGBT people face. And so, if there's a tool that allows you to sort of bypass the social stigma, that is powerful.
