How to Use Multi-City Search to Search for Award Flights
When you search for award flights using the round trip area it tries to construct logical routes and won't show you some of the possible options. Even when you're constructing a round trip itinerary you would still use multi-city search. You'll want to make your booking 355 days before April 1st so if you're really just flying to Tokyo and Tokyo back to JFK you can book this entirely online or call in via their phone line.
