"Everything is a co-credit top to bottom. There isn't really much that's truly kind of siloed off, which is a very healthy collaboration," he says. "I literally was like one day on the piano playing something I didn't write and then he came back and said 'Oh my God! You've written it!' And so we were able to sort of be able to steer each other in different directions."
