Webster's own belief in the old testament that the first languages that humans spoke were spoken by adam and eve themselves. He would include little conamini sermons, which weren't really lexical but more about the culture or the moras of the time. The mariams inherited a good business and put energy and efficiency to re it into a single volume. They added something that no one had ever added, to an language dictionary before: A stamp on the spine of the book to allow the consumer to know they were getting unabridged.
