The Healing Power of Community
Alison Backport: I had never experienced the healing power of encouragement in quite the same way. The world teaches us to lift up our banners in the name of our God when we succeed, but scripture says there's a better way. To have six or eight women on a side stage watching you leaning in smiling and praying for you to succeed is what God wants for all of us. That's why we talk often on Backport's theology about how the majority, 90 something percent of the biblical imperatives are in the context of community.
