Capital One and the Credit Card Industry
Capital one was founded by two men who came from a consulting firm called strategic planning associates, s p a. They were trying to sell an information base strategy that they thought could be applied to the credit card industry. After years of experimentation and figuring this out, it ends up that it works, right? So resspace pricing and getting different products into the hands of different people, you through the mail box and through other annels, it actually did work. The credit card business started to grow faster than the bank as a corpus.
