The story in Genesis doesn't spend really any time. even to say, evil was there, God put it there. God made it possible and evil was crafty. It was the craftiest, the subtlest. And one of the first things that we see is that this word for the serpent, this, and I'm probably butchering the pronunciation, this nakash. The intention is to shame people, the intention is to do it extraordinarily subtly. So, both are really crucially important because the intend is to fool people. We can look at our lives and the brokenness and the pain and the suffering and especially the shame and we can spend a lot of time and energy
