Creating the Political Imagination

Cultivating the political imagination is a civic responsibility, i argue. And you can't cultivate it if your engagements with all political material are motivated by the desire to translate it into idiom and ides that are happening right here and right now. That's a way to quash the imaginative capacities that can be opened right by engaging with political ideas. We're part of the amaduian in this regard. There's something experimental about democracy.
