The Gifted Kid Discourse
Gifted kid discourse came from a place of good intentions, but it did end up kind of fucking us all up individually. I look back on my college choice and I made great friends at Notre Dame. But if I were to go back in time and talk to my 17 year old self, I would have told myself to go somewhere else. It just would have been a better fit for me culturally. And you know, when Juniper is getting older, I'm not going to funnel her the way that I was funneled.
