Autonomous cars could be programmed to make that they don't hurt and injure other people. We're very good at learning that if we step in front of this vehicle, it stops. So as a pedestrian in this world full of autonomous cars, i can just cross the road whenever i feel like it, because i know i won't be injured. I can stop any car pass where i like, which i guess then has on the traffic in that city itself. Yes, it could well do. What wearesoto suggesting is that, unless this is thought through carefully, it could mean that autonomous vehicles cease to be very good as a transport mode at all.
