Professor Andrea O'Reilly has done a lot of work in expanding on this and exploring the differences between motherhood, mothering and mother. And so making these distinctions can be helpful for us as mothers to be able to add more nuance to the way we talk about our experience of motherhood. It's not one dimensional, it'll be a diverse range of experiences that are part of that caretaking. But certainly, some people enjoy the act of mothering, of caretaking, of parenting, the deserve of doing it more than others. So just adding in those definitions can be useful for us to open up and explore what it is we're actually talking about when we reflect on our experiences
