Is There a Spectrum in Biology?
There are no necessary and sufficient conditions that justify putting one person in one category and somebody else in another. But that's not to say that there aren't any characteristics that justify Putting one person in a category and another person in a different category. Is just to move away from this rather naive view that in order to be a member of a biological kind, you've got to satisfy some particularly small set of individually necessary and jointly sufficient conditions.
